explore day

DSC08124
I really love our homeschool group. Tuesday we explored a wooded area near by. We were sure someone would come home with poison oak, but so far we are clear here. It was all over the place and of kinda unavoidable with kids climbing hills and newt hunting in the creeks. We found lots of newts, handfuls of them. They were carried around for awhile and then put back into their muddy homes. I feel lucky to have found such a good group of friends for my kids and myself.

last friday, we took our neighbors over to one of our favorite spots in the neighborhood. a huge fig tree growing out of the side of a hill. perfect climbing right now, plus a meadow below to explore. i thought for sure someone would come home with poison oak or a tick - but so far we're clear! your homeschool group looks very cool indeed!

I love that photo. :) The trees and the climbing and the parents observing. Seems like you must have had a beautiful time!
