DSC07600
Saturday morning is my favorite time of the week. John is home and a free day is before us. I cherish Saturdays as our family time. When other commitments or appointments need to be made on that day I cringe. I'm selfish with my Saturdays, and I don't feel bad about it. Saturday is the day we are all together, to laugh and to play. We aren't chasing daylight pressed to play together before bedtime, get dinner eaten and everybody ready for bed like in the weekdays. We are slow and adventurous and it really is a day different from the rest. We eat breakfast by candlelight and I serve a "big breakfast" as Jack likes to call it. Sometimes we stay in our pj's late, and sometimes we get dressed early and head out for fun. We watch movies and eat pizza, we build forts and read books. It probably looks a lot like your Saturday, except it's not. It's ours and to me it is a warm comfortable place ending to our week, a sweet embrace like no other.

I love Saturdays, ours are similar. Big breakfasts of pancakes and the whole day ahead of us. love.

definitely. I love Saturdays! As Nate says- the day where we go nowhere. Perfect when we are all together! And you are not kidding, that cow creamer is HUGE!

Sorry we crashed your Saturday, but we missed you too much! Hope you still had a good Saturday, even if you had to share it with a few more people :)

...but I'm pretty selfish with my Saturdays too. I think it should be re-named "Snoozy-day" or "Slipper-day" or "Sat-thru-the-day"
