Stella and Maya
We've been hanging out with our good friends the last few days. There is nothing like watching the kids play with friends they have known their whole lives. I love to watch and see how their conversations evolve and change as they get older.

How they fight less and explore together more. They love each other so much. You can see it in the tackles and in the hugs, in the fighting over who gets to sleep next to who, and in the quiet tender conversations I overhear.

( this pic was taken by Jeff, he is a talented photographer, check out his pictures here)
Gretchen and I watched Jack and Maya climb a tree and then gently reach out and hold each others hand. We wondered if they would all be friends for ever, or drift apart. If Gretchen and I would one day be inlaws.

All three of our kids are the same age. Jack and Maya, Stella and Mason, and Rocky and Ruby. Gretchen and I shared 3 pregnancy's together and so much more.

This family is our family. They are everything to us and we would give everything and anything to know them for the rest of our lives.

That is awesome, you are so lucky to have friendships like that. We are just about to lose ours to the East Coast, I don't know what I'm gonna do! :(
