Grateful Friday

art with beets
-Drawing with beets, and eating them along the way.
-Friends who bring you Starbucks and take your kids to the park when your sick.
-Netflix movie waiting for us to watch tonight.
-My new ipod dock John got me for Valentines day.
-The book "Year of Wonders" I finished it, loved it so much that now I'm having a hard time getting into a new book because it can't compare.
-Rocky's little character coming out more, cute smiles and silliness.
-Found a Pediatrician who spent a hour with me and my kids. She wrote a list out of natural remedies I could buy at a natural food store. They have a dog, and cat, and a pot belly pig that roam around the office. So much fun!
-John who is the best care giver I have ever met. If you are sick you want him close by.
-The feeling after a fever breaks.
-Prayer and psalm 139 which is I think the most beautiful thing written in the whole bible.
-John has a 4 day weekend.
-Using a crockpot.

I absolutely wait all week for your grateful friday posts. I love all of the simple, yet wonderful things you find to put down. I'm so impressed with how happy and grounded you are in your life, faith, family and in love. I hope to model that more.

I've never written with beets. I've never even eaten them! Great list.

I, too, love Psalm 139. I memorized it about 10 years ago and still have it hidden in my heart. "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Awesome!!!
Keep on keepin' on . . . .

Never, ever thought about using beets in art! What a cool idea! Psalm 139 is one of my favorite passages too. I find it almost overwhelming when I think about just how much God loves us in spite of how well He knows us. Your gratitude always encourages me to look for the positive things in my life...maybe I'll start making my lists again. Thanks for posting!

What a bummer you have been sick - believe me, I know how bad it is when mommy is feverish. I think we need a peditrician like yours, though she doesn't sound very Kaiser-ish. Glad to have insurance, just wish it was more holistic. Have a great weekend Heather!

Heather, I'm sorry you got the bug. Be well soon! I treasure that psalm as well. It has an air of comfort like no other. I have to check Paul's schedule, but I am hoping he can come along on Tuesday as well :)

Heather, Squash the Sickness Bug & get out in the fresh air. Breathe deep, drink good hot tea with honey and watch the little ones having fun. It might do wonders for you. HUGzz, #;o>
