learning
Jack and Stella are learning:
to share
to use their manners
to write letters and numbers
to name flowers
to name vegetables
what textures are
what a bee sting feels like (Jack)
what bee's are for
I'm learning:
to be patient
to praise them even when they try to write a letter and it looks nothing like the letter they are trying to write
to not force them to "learn" something when they just want to play
that lots of repetition is the key
that love and patience are also the key.

love your blog.
ditto.
love the photo!
how come your links list and reading list look like they could be mine?
hee.
great photo and lovely post, i love how you linked your learning with theirs...we get so much from raising them and they truly are our teachers. it's beautiful.
Well said, Heather. It would have taken me pages of rambling to say what you did, so succintly, and so profoundly.
i echo stefani, you always have such a concise and beautiful way of writing.
last week i gave my kids my grocery store mailers and had them cut and paste (while mommy patiently cutted and pasted for them) all of the healthy foods they could find. my elaisha was old enough to put them into food groups even. it was so much fun! you may want to try it with your budding genius's.
beautiful and i love love love that photo!
Love the crayons.
LOVE the photo!
Just wondering if you've thought any more about homeschooling since I think you mentioned contemplating it a while back. My kiddos are 3 and 1.5 and we are working on the same things...in fact, I think our garden has been the "root" of all of our learning this summer!
what an inspiring post - great photo too.
