Last Babysitting Co-op

Last co-op
Saturday night we had our last babysitting co-op at our house before we move. Our Co-op is one of the things I'm going to miss most about moving from Saramento. Not just for the date John and I get each week, but because I love all the kids growing up together in the co-op. I hope we can find such a great thing again, either in Concord or back here in Sacramento when we move back. So Abby, Becca, Rachel, Christina, Jesse, Kenny, Maya, Mason, and all the parents we will miss you dearly.
On the topic of moving. We are out of here on the 30th. John spent a lot of the weekend packing, and I'm sure I'll spend a lot of the week packing up the house. I've had a hard time getting used to the idea of moving. I really don't want to go at all. I'm going to try and stop whining about it to all my friends and family though because there is just no point. I might as well embrace it and see it as an adventure. hope you all had a great weekend.

What a great thing to have. I wish I had something like that here. I didn't even know y'all were moving; closer to John's job?

Oh, moving. It's the pits, isn't it? Mostly the leaving your friends part. I hope you guys find wonderful friends quickly in Concord and settle in. We are not too far away so I will drive over and bring you some banana bread or something after New Years! Muah!

I hate moving too- esp. when it's not a wanted move. Well, I hope everything works out better than you expect and you're loving your new place in no time! Why the move?

You are such a brave soul to be moving so close after the holidays. If yours are anything like ours, it's absolute craziness.

As for the move, I'm sure it's scary now, but all things happen for a reason (my husband thinks that's so cliche, but I always find it to be true.) Everything will work itself out.

Oh, and your post about exhaustion reminds me of myself last year. I remember crying to my friend who had just walked in the door "I can't do this!" But I got through it and you will too. Isn't it sad that the times you most want to cherish your new baby are filled with exhaustion and fear? Then later you wish you had taken time to enjoy it more.

Cruel, cruel world.

moving is my least favorite thing to do. but i think you will have an adventure in your new digs and sacramento isn't so terribly far from concord ~ at least you're already in the east bay right? (=

merry christmas to you and your family heather. hope this week goes smoothly and i'm sorry you have to pack. xo

Whine all you want...moving is not fun or easy. We moved 13 times in 21 years, with children, state to state. I now have gypsy blood and it's hard for me to feel like I want to stay in one place for very long.
There's good and bad with moving...the bad is always the friends you leave behind...they can never be replaced no matter how hard you try...and the good, well I'm still searching sometimes to find what that is. So like I said, WHINE all you want !!!!!
