Stella
I stopped giving Stella naps a few months ago, bed times were impossible. Occasionally though she will fall asleep and I'll let her nap for 45 minutes or so and then wake her up. Today though I let her sleep for about 2 hours. I put a movie in for Jack and sat in bed and watched reruns of America's Next Top Model and ate a little chocolate John left for me. The last couple nights have been rough. Rocky getting up and nursing almost every hour. This morning I sat there crying at 5:30 in the morning to John. I told him I didn't know how I was going to make it through another day. I had a splitting headache and I was exhausted. He told me I could do it, that I would pray and pull the strength out from inside. He was right. After he left I prayed God would let Jack and Stella sleep until at least 7:30 or 8:00. They woke up at 7:45. Then I made myself a cup of coffee, drank a ton of water, and then called my friend Lorissa and asked if we could come over. Now It's 5:45 pm and John will be home in an little over an hour and I'm feeling pretty good. Stella will be up late tonight, but it was worth it, I know I can make it to the weekend now.

Oh those days! I still have them sometimes. You don't know your own strength. I never had such a coffee addiction till now! Glad you made it! (And...TV is your FRIEND.)

that picture is beautiful.

I remember how hard it was with Sean and Will the first year, I can't imagine what it must be like with 3 young kids. remember, one day at a time (though sometimes I believe it's more like one hour at a time!). you're a wonderful mom, I'll keep you in my prayers.

I love that photo of Stella. I admire you SO much Heather, for your dedication to your family and your faith. You're a terrific and loving mama and wife, one day at a time and as Irene said, if that's too much than 1 hour at a time.....

Good for you, Heather, for taking it a little bit at a time. I know how hard it can be, but next year at this time, you'll look back and breathe a sigh of relief that the hardest part is over!

You are doing great mamma! And remember, someday you WILL sleep again. It's not that far away. Enjoy that precious little bundle of Rocky.
