Grandma's house

(this is a local duck pond, not grandma's backyard)
Yesterday we went to my mom's house for the day. They have the perfect backyard for kids. It's big and there are little surprises everywhere. You may run across a turtle or two, or find yourself wading in a mud puddle. In the summer there are strawberry's and blackberry's to pick. There are tree's to climb and wood piles to explore. There is a huge compost pile with big fat juicy worms to pick out and feed the turtles. You can catch pollywog's and find huge toads. This is a backyard that kids dream about. I wish I had taken some pictures in the back yard but the camera was in the car. Next time. It was a fun day, the kids came home muddy and exhausted and happy.

Sounds like a dream! Reminds me a little of the jingle "Over the river, and through the woods..to grandmother's house we go.."
