Twin Peaks and the Old Lady

DSC08614
So I was watching Twin Peaks on TV the other day, my favorite show of all time, and about had a stroke when I noticed the little (1990) in parenthesis by the title. I looked at it a little confused, and then started calculating in my mind. "Ok", I thought, "1990 to 2000 is 10 years, and then add 7 more, hmm, no that can't be right". "Ok" I thought, "let's do it again and use my fingers this time, I always count better using my fingers hmm, no still 17". "Hey John, how many years ago was 1990?" "uh that would be 17 dummy" Well he didn't say it like that, but I'm sure he thought it. And that is when the edges started fading out, adn I"m pretty sure I had a mini stroke. Has it really been 17 years since I was sitting in my bed at home watching this perfect show? 17 years, 1....7......I'm not one to usually get all tripped up about turning a year older, but this really hit me. I sort of just slumped down into the couch a bit more, stuck out my bottom lip a little, and sighed. It's been a couple days now, and I've recovered pretty much. I've decided to just not think about it, I have a feeling though that I won't be able to watch reruns of "Twin Peaks" without feeling like an old lady and that makes me sad.

i had a "17 years moment"
just the other day

said "it's hard to beleive
it's been 17 years since
we worked together there"
and i nearly died.
