Happy Birthday Dad

Dad and Rocky
Today is my Dad's birthday. We are going over to my mom and dad's this afternoon to celebrate with cake. I wish my dad and I were closer, I love him, but for some reason it's hard to feel close to him. I don't think he reads my blog, but if you do dad I love you. There are lots of things I love about my dad and have grown to love about him since I've grown up, here are a few.

- He's artistic. He makes these incredible clay Indian heads and figures. Everytime I see them I can't believe he molded this with his own hands.
- He persued his dream of being a musician. He sings and plays the guitar and didn't just sit around and wish he could perform in front of people he did it. Making a cd playing in Reno and wherever he could.
- He owned his own business, it's hard work and took up a lot of time but that's what he wanted and he did it.
- He is a good story teller. He always has interesting stories of growing up in Montana.
- Growing up he came and rescued me broke down on the side of the road more times than I can count after running out of gas.

Sounds like he's a special man. Happy Birthday to your dad. Cute picture, by the way.
