Making stuff

Stellas Unicorn
I'm making Stella a pillow for a Christmas gift. I got this embroidery pattern from Sublime Stiching. It's my first try at embroidery, it was fun, and quick and the patterns over at Sublime Stiching are super cute.
Apple/berry crisp
This morning we made some berry apple crisp for breakfast. It was really really really good. I got the recipe from Grace over at Uncommon Grace. Yum Yum Yummy!!
giant spider
We made 3 of these giant paper mache spiders for halloween. They were fun and messy and easy. The paste recipe is one part flour to two parts water. I heated mine because it made the paste a little thicker and it felt better on my hands. I blew up two balloons and taped them together. Tear up some newspaper into stripes and then dip them in the paste, wipe off extra and slap it on the balloon (you have to slap it, that's the fun part). Let it dry a couple days. Pop balloons, and paint. We made crepe paper legs, which are ok, but I'm sure there is something better out there you could use. Anyway they are cute and were fun to make.
