I can not tell you how great this weekend was. John's Aunt and Uncle Joe and Rene let us use their cabin up by Truckee. Let me just tell you this cabin is so perfect. It is warm and filled with things that are loved and are filled with family memories. What makes this place even more special is that they built it themselves. Including John's dad who passed away before it was completed.
This was the kids first time in the snow. Even though is was really hard snow, and there wasn't too much of it besides on the sides in the ditches, our kids knew no difference and they had a blast. Friday night we had a treat and had snowfall for a couple of hours.
Here's Rocky. A cute pink and purple marshmallow.
And this little fluff ball is Stella.
And then we have hours of game playing and puzzle building (and nose picking for Stella). I got to sit and read in front of the fire and John and I took turns going out alone for walks in the forest. It really was a wonderful weekend.

That cabin looks great; so cozy. And snow! I can't believe it, we're all wearing shorts over here.
You take such delightful photos, they never cease to delight me !
