We made it, we are here in our new hometown of Concord. I really love the house, especially the fire place and backyard. We have been busy settling in, unpacking boxes, exploring the new city, and trying to stay calm and loving as a family. I had no idea how disruptive a major move really is to a family. It is stressful, and a lot of hard work. I'm learning to balance taking care of myself, taking care of my family, and working to put this house together out of a zillion boxes in the garage.
Rocky is the calmest baby EVER!!. God really knew to give me a calm one because I don't think I could have handled a cranky baby at this point. He is starting to smile, he pretty much still sleeps about 80% of the time.
Ahhh our fire place, I love it.
Our good friends Jeff and Gretchen and Ron and Lorissa came down from Sacramento within the first few days of us moving. It is encouraging to know we have their support and friendship no matter how far away we live.
Ahhh, rest, Jack crashed after a long day. More to come. Have a great weekend everyone!!

Look at little Rocky! SO so cute!
Glad to hear from you. Happy settling vibes.
Welcome home! I'm glad you all are safe and sound and knowing Concord, I think you all are really going to be happy there.
Baby Rocky looks so sweet and he's the spitting image of John (or seems that way in this particular photo). I love that Jack just passed out right where he was.
oh my goodness,
what a darling!
and moving is a huge
undertaking for adults,
much less for children...
you must be glad it's done!
:)

Have fun setting up house..that fireplace is beautiful. Your baby is so good and beautiful!..hmmm I'm about to move, too..but that is the story of our live (military) so I know what your talking about with the stress and impact of it ;) Home sweet home!
Moving is so tough! People never really "got" how hard it was to move to Australia & back so I totally know what you're going through. Just be patient with yourself & you'll get it done. Hope you guys settle in fast -- your new fireplace looks awesome, hope it's the site of many happy family memories.
